The agate gemstones of my agate gemstone jewelry
are created from the precious minerals formed within our earth. This naturally
occurring mineral is a translucent cryptocrystalline variety of quartz, being
a variegated chalcedony frequently mixed or alternating with opal, and characterized
by colors arranged in alternating stripes or bands. These adjacent bands
differ in color and in degree of translucency. Agate colors range
from green of moss agate, to a multicolored fancy agate.
Agate is found in Brazil, United States, and Uraguay.
Agate exists in volcanic rocks and cavities of some other rocks.
But you can also find semi-precious agate gemstones in the
