The semi-precious gemstones of my handmade,
turquoise gemstone jewelry are created from the precious minerals formed
within our earth. This naturally occurring mineral is found in aluminum
rich igneous rocks.
Turquoise, December's semi-precious birthstone, has
metaphysical and/or
healing properties. Turquoise
gemstones are considered protective, in that they guard the soul. Being
associated with the sky, this gemstone absorbs negative energy by bringing energy
from the sky to the earth. In addition, it also gives an overall physical toning
to the wearer, emotional uplift, and longevity of life. Turquoise can
help speed the healing process, and is known as a master healer stone.
It can also help promote clear and honest communication from the heart.
Turquoise colors range from blue, blue-green, or yellowish
green. Sky blue turquoise is valued as the most rare and most valuable
of the turquoise colors. The finest turquoise comes from the southwest
slope of the Ali-Mirsa-Kuh Mountains in Iran. Turquoise is also found in North
America, more specifically, in South West United States and sometimes in Virginia
and New Mexico. Additionally, this gemstone is found in Africa; hence the name
"African Turquoise". But you can also find semi-precious
