The semi-precious unakite gemstones of my unakite gemstone jewelry
are created from the precious minerals formed within our earth. This naturally
occurring mineral is an epidote rich granite which contains pink orthoclase, quartz,
and minor opaque oxides, apatite, and zircon.
The name "unakite" is
derived from the type locality, the Unaka Range in the Great Smoky Mountains of
eastern Tennessee. Unakite is a very beautiful gemstone and is one
of my favorites. You too can enjoy the beauty of unakite gemstones.
